Ravenheat boilers - affordable and efficient

Ravenheat boilers - high efficiency Ravenheat boilers

COMBIPLUS

COMBIPLUS takes affordable heating and hot water to the next level, by combining the benefits of a high efficiency combination boiler with ENERGYCATCHER - Ravenheat's high efficiency combination boiler with a passive flue gas heat recovery system (PFGHRS). This duel-efficient technology not only saves up to 30% on heating bills, but also saves up to a further 52% on the cost of hot water. It's also kind to the environment and reduces carbon emissions by approximately 1000kg per year.

Innovative ENERGYCATCHER technology recycles the heat from flue gasses and uses them to pre-heat water, which means less wasted energy and lower bills. ENERGYCATCHER also helps reduce the amount of water you use as the pre-heated water reaches the tap faster.

With the powerful performance of a 32 or 42kW combination boiler, which already have certified efficiencies of 90.7%, COMBIPLUS is the logical choice for demanding households, as well as being the most compact high output boilers on the market.

Ravenheat's advanced thinking and commitment to bringing down the cost of efficient technologies means that in many cases COMBIPLUS, with its ultra high efficiency, will still be cheaper than installing a normal condensing boiler from many of our competitors.

  • COMBIPLUS takes only 20 minutes extra to install, but will give your customers outstanding savings well beyond those of a typical condensing boiler. The ENERGYCATCHER unit fits flush with the top of the boiler, so no unsightly pipework, just a neat finish. Because there are no moving parts in ENERGYCATCHER there is no maintenance requirement. Quality and reliability come as standard through the use of the highest quality components and an all brass manifold for extra durability. All of this is backed up by our standard three-year guarantee, which can be extended by a further two or even five years.

  • Both COMBIPLUS models offer powerful performance suitable for two or three + bedroom properties, delivering both heating and hot water, whilst also reducing your heating bills significantly. By incorporating the award-winning ENERGYCATCHER, we help you to get more useful heat for each pound you spend on fuel. These models can also be used in one bedroom properties where there is an exceptional demand for hot water.

Both COMBIPLUS models are affordably priced and will typically pay for themselves within two to four years, making them an excellent investment. You could save as much as 30% on your gas consumption, which will help to bring down your gas bills and get more usable heat for each pound you spend. In standby mode CSI boilers are also energy efficient with standby losses of just 3W.

Even with the ENERGYCATCHER on top of the boiler, the total height of the product still makes it suitable for installation in a kitchen cupboard arrangement. A fully insulated case also ensures minimal noise, so you're less likely to hear the boiler working in the background. Our built-in frost protection also allows the boilers to be sited in enclosed outside spaces, such as a garage.

For complete peace of mind COMBIPLUS boilers are backed up by our standard three-year manufacturer's guarantee covering parts and labour. We offer guaranteed same-day or next-day service callouts, to ensure that if there is a problem, it's resolved quickly and with minimal disruption. You also have the option to extend the guarantee by a further one, two, three, four or even five years.

If you are in an area which is not on mains gas, COMBIPLUS is also available in LPG models.
  • Achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Levels 3 and 4

COMBIPLUS has already been used by numerous housebuilders and social landlords to improve efficiencies in line with the requirements of the Code for Sustainable Homes (CfSH). The ENERGYCATCHER technology that is featured in the COMBIPLUS helps you to achieve Level 3 of the Code, while using COMBIPLUS in conjunction with solar thermal can reach Level 4 or greater, without the need for additional measures.

Because COMBIPLUS maximises the amount of useful heat gained from each pound spent on gas, it's the ideal solution to help combat fuel poverty by saving up to 30% on heating bills, with a further 52% savings on hot water.

The initial capital cost of our products is much lower than many of our competitors, making it more cost effective for you to undertake large scale retrofit projects across more of your housing stock. The simplicity of ENERGYCATCHER technology makes it straightforward to install and takes only 20 minutes longer than a normal combination boiler, again keeping costs to a minimum. Because ENERGYCATCHER reduces pluming, it often removes the need for a separate plume management kit.

For projects where greater design flexibility is required, COMBIPLUS reduces the Dwelling Emission Rate (DER) of a property and can be used to offset the choice of other materials which have lower efficiencies or higher losses.

According to the Energy Saving Trust, an average three-bedroom family home could save as much as £300 per year, when upgrading from a G rated appliance (less than 70% efficient) to a Band A appliance, such as the COMBIPLUS, with heating controls. COMBIPLUS reduces bills even further because it has ENERGYCATCHER built in.
  • Our wireless controls not only maximise the efficient operation of the boiler, they also allow householders to match their heating requirements to their lifestyle so that the home is at the desired temperature exactly when they need it. The WHITE HEAT range can be fitted with our optional 7-day combined room thermostat and timer, with programming options that split in to 24-hour periods, with up to 48 individual time slots. If your customers require simplified operation, there are also pre-defined “Comfort” and “Economy” settings.

The transmitter, with its easy-to-read back-lit digital display is common to both models and has an  operating range of up 30m from the receiver unit. It can be wall mounted, or free standing and should ideally be placed approximately 1.5m above the ground in order to have maximal effect.

The RHVT 1 includes a receiver unit which can be fitted away from the boiler, while the RHVT 2 has a receiver that is easily fitted in to the control panel of the boiler and is the same size as the standard clock which it replaces.

Both types of receiver have a built-in manual override and LED display. Once set, the RF transmission code is set using dip switches, making it unique and preventing interference from any other RF signals.
  • The ENERGYCATCHER unit fits flush onto the boiler at the terminal on top of the boiler with no unsightly pipe work or visible flueing. The total unit height, including ENERGYCATCHER is only 970mm, which means it still fits easily into kitchen cupboard arrangements. ENERGYCATCHER comes with a flue mounting template and fixing bracket to help keep installation time to a minimum.

COMBIPLUS requires a standard 1 metre horizontal flue kit (PR5023016), or a vertical flue accessory kit. One metre extension kits are also available. The flue arrangements below should fit most requirements however alternative systems (twin or 125mm) are available for longer flue distances.
