Ravenheat Wins Another Top Award

Ravenheat has won the top award for "Domestic H&V Product of the Year", against big-brand rival manufacturers Honeywell and Worcester Heat Systems, in the prestigious "H&V News 2000 Awards for Excellence" competition. The awards were presented by television personality Graham Norton during a special ceremony at the London Hilton hotel.

Winning product was the recently launched CSI System Condensing boiler (CSI = condensing system innovation) which, together with the CSI 85 condensing combi and CSI Primary condensing boiler, completes the company's comprehensive range of super-efficient condensing models, suitable for most domestic and many non-domestic applications.

Commenting on the winning boiler, the judges said they were impressed by it "taking condensing technology one step further". They felt Ravenheat's case was well presented and they were struck by how "the built-in energy management system will maximise energy-saving". Features cited included the built-in timer, anti-cycling system and full modulation.

A major feature of the system boiler is separate thermostats for heating and domestic hot water, so that condensing mode for heating is maximised while hot water is provided at the required higher temperature. Since hot water only needs 22% of the energy used, this is an important advance over rival systems which operate less in condensing mode and therefore less efficiently.

In addition, the range of three condensing boilers are made to exacting ISO 9001 standards and, being of the atmospheric type, are especially easy to install and maintain. For environmentally concerned users and organisations, they are low in energy use, cost, pollution and global-warming emissions, and Raverheat expects winning the award will help them to feature prominently in schemes such as New HEES, New HESS Plus, New EESOPs and Affordable Warmth.

This new award comes in addition to the Institute of Domestic Heating & Environmental Engineers International Award of Excellence, won by Ravenheat at last year's Building Services Event, and the company's success in Italy the previous year when it won awards both for its manufacturing operation in that country's industrialised north-east region and for Ravenheat as a whole.

Further new models previewed at the recent Mostra Convegno Expocomfort exhibition in Milan, and being shown also at the newly combined Interbuild and Building Services Event in May, are Joining the company's extensive range of combination and condensing boilers, backed up by training, service and spares availability second to none.
