REVOLUTIONARY NEW SYSTEM

ENERGYCATCHER© Is a revolutionary new system that will extract virtually all of the heat from gas boiler fumes whenever the boiler is operating, with a net result of a 5% extra saving on gas and a reduction in bills. Fuel bills are reduced with all year round savings of a minimum 5% over and above that of the best SEDBUK Band A condensing boilers. The savings can be up to 90% in domestic hot water mode if the storage tank is above 38°C.

We all aspire to an improving lifestyle with time and money to pursue family interests. Energy is a big expenditure in any household and it is essential that we all have affordable warmth and hot water. To that end the performance and efficiency of any boiler is crucial. One energy source that has remained unquestioned and untouched is the wasted energy (hot fumes) from a gas boiler flue outlet to the atmosphere. Ravenheat have, over the last 12 months designed and fully tested a system that will extract virtually all the heat from gas boiler fumes whenever the boiler is operating, with a net result of 5% extra saving on gas and a reduction in bills over and above traditional SEDBUK Band ‘A’ condensing boilers.

Take the highest SEDBUK rated boiler, attach a RAVENHEAT ENERGYCATCHER© system to the top of the boiler and there will be an automatic reduction in gas bills, due to the heat from the flue gases being transferred to a domestic hot water thermal store. This energy is then used through the boiler, or the thermal store to provide domestic hot water.

WHAT IS ENERGYCATCHER© ?
While modern domestic boilers are very efficient compared to those of 20 years ago, one source of waste heat and pollution which has not so far been addressed by boiler designers is the heat which escapes to atmosphere through the boiler’s flue, or exhaust. With the boiler running, these flue gases can exceed 60 degrees Celsius, heat that is literally going up the chimney, and not into heating water.

ENERGYCATCHER changes all that. An ingenious small but patented unit which requires no electrical connections and integrates on top of the domestic boiler. The boiler’s flue gases, instead of going straight out through the wall at 60+ degrees, are fed into the ENERGYCATCHER©, where they flow over a heat exchanger. The otherwise wasted heat is transferred to the water in the heat exchanger, which moves under convection into a storage tank. The tank can be of any size to suit the need, and, as an example, after the central heating has run for an hour a large tank will be fully heated, giving a good supply of hot water. The exhaust gases, now considerably cooler, then vent to the atmosphere.

ENERGYCATCHER© is simple to install, uses no electricity, has no running costs and requires no maintenance.
Ravenheat’s boilers all conform to SEDBUK Band A, which means they are over 90% efficient in converting gas to heat. Now ENERGYCATCHER, when fitted to a boiler, adds a further 5% to those efficiency ratings, which, apart from the cost of buying and installing ENERGYCATCHER©, is FREE.

 

ENERGYCATCHER© saves on gas bills, saves precious gas supplies, and helps the environment. UK, EC and world governments are all setting tough targets for the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions over the coming years in order to combat climate change.
