Winner H&V Awards 2000: Ravenheat CSI Condensing System

The CSI (Condensing System Innovation) condensing boiler impressed the judges of the H&V Awards 2000 by "taking condensing technologies one-step further".

 

This boiler includes a built in timer which can be used to regulate hot water on a timed basis. The CSI condensing boiler also incorporates an anti cycle system to achieve further fuel savings by preventing dry firing. The boiler is fully modulating which helps to prevent 'over shooting' of room temperatures.
The Judges felt that Ravenheat's was a very well presented case and they were struck by how, "the built in energy management system will maximise energy saving".
Maximum Energy Savings

The CSI System AAA (T) Condensing Boiler is designed to extract more heat from a smaller quantity of fuel. The reason is a second aluminum heat exchanger. This increase in efficiency is obtained by reducing the temperature of the flue gases to a point where water vapour produced during combustion is condensed out.


A unique heat exchanger extracts heat from otherwise wasted exhaust gases

This releases latent heat which would otherwise escape with the flue gases. Simply by extracting the heat from the flue gasses, the nett result gives lower gas bills.


Built In Energy Manager

The built in boiler energy manager will reduce fuel on demand, improving seasonal efficiency and reducing running costs.The boiler comes with a built in single channel 7 day digital timer, which can be utilised to control domestic hot water or heating requirements. If a separate timer for heating is required then it is recommended to fit a room thermostat/timer, available from Ravenheat manufacturing.

The CSI System AAA (T) sealed system fully pumped boiler, reduces installation time by eliminating any need for water tanks or pipes in the loft, which could freeze or burst.
The CSI System AAA (T) Condensing Boiler Will Cut Your Fuel Costs For Many Years To Come

The CSI System AAA (T) boiler has been carefully developed for greater utilisation of energy for super high efficiency. It can be used as a condensing system heating only boiler or in the design of a heating system incorporating a hot water cylinder. Heating output from the boiler to the radiators can be set and controlled by the built in energy manager to operate in condensing mode at all times. During periods of hot water demand the change over to domestic thermostat output enables the cylinder to be re-heated as quickly as possible.
